Tropicana Field serves as the home stadium for the Tampa Bay Rays in Major League Baseball (MLB). Originally named the Florida Suncoast Dome, Tropicana Field's 11 million square feet include a 42,735-seat capacity retractable roof stadium.
The stadium has hosted numerous significant events, including the 1998 MLB All-Star Game and the 2008 World Series. It is also home to the Tampa Bay Rowdies of the USL Championship soccer league.
